Your designs and uploads

The coat of arms editor runs entirely in your browser. The shields, tinctures, charges, text and colors you use are processed on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers. Images you add through Uploads stay in your browser too. They are held in memory while you work, and if you save a design that uses one, it is stored with that design in your browser's storage. They are not uploaded to us unless you share a design that uses them, as described below.

Saved designs

When you click Save, the design is stored in your browser's local storage on this device, where it appears under Saved. We cannot see, recover or restore these designs. Clearing your browsing data or the site data for this site deletes them, and they do not carry over to another browser or device. Download a copy of any design you want to keep.

Share links

When you click Share, we store a copy of the design on our servers: the design itself (including any images you added to it) and two pictures of it. You get a link, and anyone who has that link can view the coat of arms, download the picture and open their own copy in the editor. Changing your design afterwards does not change a link you already made. We do not list shared designs or submit them to search engines. To have a shared design removed, email hello@coatofarmscreator.com with the link.

Downloads

PNG, JPG and SVG files are generated in your browser and saved straight to your device.

Analytics

We use Clicky to count visits and see which pages and referrers bring them. We run it with cookies turned off, and it anonymizes IP addresses before storing them. Its script loads from our own domain and its requests are passed on to Clicky. It does not see your coat of arms designs or uploaded images.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, which may log IP addresses and request metadata for security and operations under its own privacy policy.
